So, it's been a while but I've finally finished piecing together everybody's feedback about Udja comments for Joomla and have put together some pretty nice features and bug fixes for everyone to use.
Well, it's been a long time coming but I've finally got my Custom Fields extension built and ready to go for Joomla 1.6+ but it's here now. I've completely re-worked the way that it works compaired to Joomla 1.5.
Well, it's been a long time coming but I feel that udja comments for Joomla 1.6 and Joomla 1.7 is now ready to be released under a stable status for everyone to download and upgrade from immediately.
Well it's been a hectic couple of weeks with my triathlon, working on the JED Listing Redesign and not forgetting Udja Comments RC2 work but I think we've got there and after some more testing from you great users we'll be very close to completion!
As there was no bugs reported from this helpful little plugin which allows you to use the sharethis api button inside your Joomla 1.6+ website I have taken the extension to a stable release at 0.4. In addition to this I have added some new features to the plugin.
Most of you regulars may have noticed that everything has moved! The reason for this is the old site was getting a bit tatty and neeeded a good (albeit belated) spring clean! Thanks to my amazing girlfriend Taryn Sligh for creating this amazing design.
Well, it's been an eventful couple of weeks and I apologise for taking so long to get this second version, but I'm so happy with testing and the updates that I have jumped from beta 0.3 rite to RC1. The reason for this is I don't intend on any major bugs being left over. One issue is due to a mistake on the original release of the beta 0.3 will not be automatically upgradeable, however, you can install udja comments rc1 straight over the top of udja comments 0.3 beta with no config/data loss.
Due to a distinct lack of comments and a high demand for a comments extension for 1.6 which can provide functionality which rivals that of jComments I have created a simple but easily extended comments component+module combination. This comments extension doesn't use Facebook or Disqus like most commenting systems instead it uses a native system designed specifically for Joomla 1.6 using the Framework.
Recently I have been progressing onto using Joomla 1.6 on websites more often and have discovered a distinct lack of a joomla 1.6 jComments, or any good Joomla 1.6 comments plugin that's non-commercial for that matter. In response to this I was originally going to create a proper extension for comments, however, my sense got the better of me and realised that jComments would release eventually and then I would be stuck with a plugin that's not getting used.
